Paribu Acquires CoinMENA in $240M MENA Expansion Push
Turkish digital asset platform Paribu has made its first international move with the acquisition of Bahrain-based CoinMENA, a regulated crypto exchange serving 1.5 million users across 45 countries. The deal, valued at up to $240 million, marks Turkey's largest fintech transaction to date and grants Paribu immediate access to licensed operations in Dubai and Bahrain.
CoinMENA's dual regulatory approvals position Paribu to capitalize on MENA's accelerating crypto adoption, where institutional interest grows alongside retail participation. The acquisition follows Paribu's domestic success in Turkey, now pivoting to a region where crypto trading volumes surged 166% year-over-year through Q3 2025.
'This isn't just a footprint expansion—it's a strategic bridge between two high-growth markets,' said an unnamed Paribu executive familiar with the transaction. The deal structure includes performance-based earnouts tied to user acquisition targets in Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
